Peter Richardson
Jurgen Hess recommended Peter to the Royal Scottish Academy, where he studied, from the age of 19, with Alexander Baillie, Philip Norris and Myra Chahin.
Peter works for In Harmony in the West End of Newcastle, coaching the main orchestras: Hawthorn Primary Symphony Orchestra (HPSO) and West Newcastle Symphony Orchestra (WNSO). He also currently works at Newcastle Royal Grammar School as cello teacher and organising unplugged gigs getting rock and classical musicians together to perform. He was recently asked to return to Sage Gateshead on Saturday mornings where he teaches cello to students on the programme there.
Peter regularly performs chamber and symphonic music and is a member of Three Shades of Grey with fellow cellist Julia Watson, and harpsichordist Andrew Soulsby.
He loves dogs, and training dogs!
